PRO-7.50 — Precision, Poise & Pure Nostalgia
Heads-up, .400 Pro Tree, 7.50 index. All the show — none of the electronic crutches.
Pro-7.50 is the sweet-spot class where classic hardware meets laser discipline. Front-engine dragsters, altereds, funny cars, and door slammers throw down in a heads-up chase for that perfect 7.50. You’ll feel every heartbeat of the crowd as you stage on the .400 Pro Tree — because here it’s driver, machine, and a razor-thin index. No gimmicks, no electronic assist — just skill, setup, and stones.
At-a-Glance Rules (Highlights)
- Eligible Cars: Front-engine dragsters, altereds, funny cars, or door slammers.
- Index: 7.50 seconds (closest without breaking out).
- Tree: .400 Pro Tree across NDRL classes (NSS excepted).
- No Modern Crutches: No EFI, NOS, delay/crossover boxes, throttle/bump boxes, or traction control. Approved power adders: blower/turbo with mechanical injection or carb only.
- Safety: Per NHRA ET/MPH; current SFI gear requirements apply per class/ET.
- Pairings & Lane Choice: Laddered after qualifying. #1 qualifier gets first-round Bye if odd. With even fields, #1 gets lane choice. After Round 1, lane choice goes to racer closest to the 7.50 index.
Always confirm the latest NDRL rulebook for updates and specifics before race day.
Bottom line: Pro-7.50 is pure nostalgia theater — tight tuners, cool heads, and cars that make the stands rumble. Nail that 7.50, own your lane, and put on the show everyone came for.
